Whilst studying design, what is the most significant thing you have learnt?
The most important thing I have learnt is that everyone’s design style is different and unique. Throughout study in Visual Communication Design, I have strived to improve my unique strengths, as well as develop new skills and abilities, in both familiar and non-familiar media. Through this journey, I have found new interests and strengthened others.
Where are you heading as a graduate of Visual Communication Design?
As a graduate, I wish to pursue illustration – concept art and development specifically – as I have found it to be one of my passionate interests.
Line in photography
A series of ten images focusing on line in everyday life. Kept to a square frame,
each image has been cropped harshly to highlight the
prominent line work in an urban environment.
All images were kept black and white to diminish any distractions from the line work.
With the block type in the centre forming the focal point of the work,
the design features small illustrations decorating the border to convey the song lyrics visually.
Printed as a risograph, the image was limited to three colours – Blue, Red and Black.
