Throughout my student life I have gained a great fondness for building new identities. It’s such a great platform to design from and allows for fresh ideas to be truly explored.

What is your goal as a designer?

My goal as a designer would ideally be to collaborate with other creatives invariably.

What was the reason for you to study visual communication?

The reason for choosing to study Visual Communication is my insatiable need to be creative, I needed an outlet but I also needed a profession. Through this degree it really allows me to have a career and most importantly a creative outlet.

Jimmy Figgs:

Jimmy Figg’s Bare Knuckle Barbers , is a truly authentic and traditional Barber experience. The aim for this fictional re branding was to capture the hand aesthetic of the craft, while capturing the original atmosphere of barber shops in the 40’s and 50’s by combining dark hues, smooth scripts and sharp serifs.

Squash:

The idea behind this logo is to represent the nature of the squash court and how every wall and angle is an important part of play. The logo has been designed as a 3d geometric object, simulating the playing field, the simple sharp design, a symbol to capture the fast paced nature of the sport.
