To choose one particular area of graphic design as my ‘favourite’ would be like being asked to choose my favourite pet. Although I may love one more at a certain point in time – in the end I ultimately love them both equally.

Being completely cliché I knew that I wanted to study design from a young age and finally got the chance to do so when I moved to Newcastle late in 2011.

Where do you feel most inspired?

I feel most inspired when travelling. I spent six weeks in Europe and found it to be an astoundingly inspiring experience. I hope to do more travelling upon the completion of my studies.

Whilst studying design, what is the most significant thing you have learned?

I have learnt many things from my time studying but the one vital thing I will take away from my experience is that there are no failures in design only lessons to be learnt.

The brief for this project was to design a booklet promoting a particular area.
I chose to complete this brief on the area of Pokolbin. It was slightly difficult as it was completed in the winter months so the area was not at it’s most beautiful.

The brief for this project was to design an appropriate Christmas card for the University of Newcastle Foundation. This project was somewhat limiting in creative choices, which made it both challenging and easy in it’s own way.
