My journey as a student in this degree has allowed me to grow my skills and as a person, I found that what I thought I would like to do when I finished in the end wasn’t really what I wanted to do anymore. Since discovering this I don’t have a specific interest in one field of design but rather an interest in all aspects.
Whilst studying design, what is the most significant thing you have learned?
Keeping the design as simple as possible.
Throughout the degree I was always hearing ‘less is more’ and ‘KISS – Keep It Simple Stupid’ from the lecturers. This helped me to realise that design doesn’t need to be complex to get the message across to the audience.
What’s your next destination/place you want to visit?
There are many places I would like to go to. If I had enough time travelling I would like to travel around Europe spending some time in a few countries there. Part of my heritage is from there so to travel there would be an amazing experience.
What I wanted to do in this project was to explore how food colouring reacts to water. At Times throughout this project the colouring has made shapes that were out of my control and has a unique quality. Each photo has two layers to add another dimension to the photos.
